Horse Care Team Member – Newton Abbot
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly committed person with experience in caring for horses and ponies. Knowledge of equine behaviour and training is advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.
The Mare and Foal Sanctuary is the largest equine charity in the South West peninsula, dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of horses and ponies in need. Based in Devon, we have 5 specialist sites, including a specialist veterinary and welfare assessment centre. We also have an active programme of educational events for horse owners and a multidisciplinary equine assisted learning team.
This post is based at our Honeysuckle Farm Sanctuary in Newton Abbot. Working closely with our team of experts, you will help provide the highest standard of care, monitoring the health and behaviour of around 40 horses with a variety of health and management needs. You will also be actively involved in training the horses and ponies.

Please note that this is role is subject to a Basic DBS check and you will be required to bring proof of your right to work in the UK to an interview if you are shortlisted.

37.5 hours per week with some evening and weekend work.
Wage £10.42 per hour with pay award pending in April
